Most of the class has arrived in Rome, with a number of us celebrating the New Year while crossing the Atlantic for the second year in a row. As I write, the Holy Father is celebrating Mass at St. Peter's Basilica nearby, and some of our classmates are in attendance. Unfortunately, not everyone was able to get to Rome early in order to attend what is surely a beautiful liturgy.
Later this evening we will all gather for dinner and Holy Mass for the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God. We thank God for getting us here safely and wish everyone a Happy New Year.
