More from the first day

With just a day or two in Rome before leaving for our week-long retreat in Assisi tomorrow, many of us chose to explore the city today. Some toured St. Peter's Basilica, and others simply wandered about, visiting various churches open throughout the afternoon and evening on this feast day of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
